#340: How to Win Gardening Supplies for Your School Garden Program (The Seed Keeper Project) In this episode of the Vegetable Gardening show, Mike chats with Carol Niec and Kerrie Rosenthal of The Seed Keeper Company about the upcoming Seed Keeper Project that starts on January 29th, 2018. The Seed Keeper Project, now in its 8th year, is where you can nominate your school, your child's school or even your town's school to receive a number of great gardening supplies to help it along.

Carol & Kerrie are here to tell us how you can do that. Each week, over the course of 5 weeks, people from all over the USA will get a chance to nominate their school of choice for this great list of prizes.

The prizes include but not limited to, packs of seeds, see organizers, books, tools and more. Carol & Kerrie will give us the full run down on the supplies your school garden can win, how to nominate your school and where to send in your nomination.

This, and so much more, on this episode of The Vegetable Gardening Show!

About this episode's guests on the Vegetable Gardening Show, Carol Niec & Kerrie Rosenthal

#340: How to Win Gardening Supplies for Your School Garden Program (The Seed Keeper Project) The Seed Keeper Company came about when we tried to find a better way to store our seeds. Together, we developed a seed filing system for seed packets and captured seeds complete with tips and seed planting accessories. The accessories were chosen because they are important to the seed starting process. The plastic clip-lock container is rugged enough to go to the garden and solid enough to protect delicate seeds until the next planting season.

The produce, from our gardens, is fresh, organic and on our tables in minutes—and, our vases are filled with fresh flowers that we grew, too. All for pennies compared to what you pay for produce from the market or flowers from the florist. Think about it—it’s more economical and makes our carbon footprint smaller.
